Kristen Holmes, MS LPC
Clinical Supervisor for
Graduate Students and Postgraduate
Kristen Holmes is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a rich background in trauma-informed care, attachment work, and holistic healing approaches. As a clinical supervisor, she is passionate about helping emerging therapists grow their confidence and therapeutic intuition while maintaining authenticity and balance in their clinical work.
Kristen’s supervision is deeply grounded in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment-based models. She supports clinicians in understanding how trauma, loss, and identity shape clients’ inner worlds—and how to guide them safely through healing.
Her experience includes working with individuals and couples navigating:
Complex and developmental trauma
Ambiguous loss (such as estrangement, chronic illness, or missing relationships)
Adoption and identity exploration
Relationship repair and communication patterns
Emotional regulation and nervous system awareness
Kristen’s couples work integrates elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and IFS-informed relationship repair, offering supervisees insight into how to apply these frameworks effectively in their own sessions.
Supervision Style: Reflective, relational, and grounded in curiosity. Kristen encourages supervisees to develop their inner therapist—trusting their instincts while learning to hold complexity with compassion and clarity.
