Who am I?

Find yourself through online therapy.

Are you trying to figure out who you are in a world where others' views and opinions of you seem to carry such a heavy weight? It can be tricky work, especially if any labels or statements make you feel small.

Here are a few things to ask yourself when the question, "Who am I?" seems slightly too big.

What voices are louder than my inner voice?

Why am I listening to them?

Is any of what they are saying true?

What is true about me?

You may toss around these ideas in quiet self-reflection or by talking it through with someone else. However, if you are processing this with someone else, proceed cautiously, as it may influence this careful, delicate, individual process.

Having a solid team of trusted people to talk with is an incredible gift. Still, consider taking a brave first step to reach out to a therapist who can provide a safe, supportive, empowering space genuinely focused on YOU to walk through these big life questions. This isn't a one-and-done conversation, right? This subject often falls deeper than what can be fully explored over a cup of coffee with a friend. This process takes time and intentionality.

The good news is you can find answers, peace, purpose, and relief! Committing to consistently and accurately exploring these depths is life-changing and life-giving. Not to mention, it may even be a fun and exciting process! Working with a therapist can be an incredibly freeing experience that allows you to embrace and more deeply enjoy life.

How do I answer what is my identity?

Answering questions about your identity is an ongoing process that requires deep self-reflection. It’s important to remember that there isn’t a single, correct answer – instead, the answer will be unique to each individual and can change over time. As you explore yourself more deeply, you may find that your understanding of who you are shifts as

If you are looking for a therapist to walk with you on this path, I would be honored to do so. I am skilled in creating a safe space that feels comfortable for this deeply personal process. No questions, thoughts, or ideas are off-limits as you explore. We'll open things up and then narrow items down. We'll think, reflect, wonder, act, engage, and progress.

What is our identity as a person?

It's a journey of self-discovery - one that is often filled with mixed emotions. Together, we'll explore those feelings more deeply so you can move closer to understanding who you are and where you're going.

I'm here to support you on your journey toward personal growth and understanding yourself better. Allowing your authentic self to unfold is essential. Creativity is at the core of my practice, and I invite those I work with to various therapeutic interventions. This can include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where we sort out fact from fiction. Narrative Therapy is where we consider the road behind us but then turn our eyes to the road ahead, seeing a blank slate and a new story to write. What do you want it to look like? We can also harness the immense value of connecting with creation in the great outdoors as we commune with something so much bigger than ourselves. Your faith or spirituality is also a welcome part of the process, if you choose, as there can be an immense benefit to taking a holistic inventory of who you are – mind, body, and soul.
